Good job. Never heard of the term 'quantified life' before but it seems as though it's actually similar to some stuff coming out of the HCC/HCI community over the years; I know it's also a topic in medical informatics.

You're right that this class doesn't cover interface design specifics. As CU offers a dedicated and very good user centered design class (I think Leysia Palen is teaching it at the moment), we didn't want to replicate it in this class. However, if you have any questions or want some tips, we can help in person or with pointers to good resources.
