  3. what do you consider the most important impact of new media and human-centered computing on YOUR education?
which classes did you take outside of your chosen discipline?
Psychology, Humanities, Sociology, Geography
how did you select these classes? (e.g. based on interest or based on requirements for your degree program)
I chose them such that they would fulfill necessary requirements but tried to choose those which sounded interesting to me.
how would you rate the “outside classes”? (e.g. a waste of time or an enrichment of your education)
I really enjoyed a couple of them and a few others seemed to be a waste of time. I learned things in all the classes and they made my education more well rounded.
if you had a choice: would you take more outside classes?
I would given a wide range of classes to choose from. It is nice to take a class purely out of interest, it makes it more enjoyable to do work for the class and I tend to do well in classes I enjoy.
to be a well educated graduate in your respective discipline — what do you consider the most important objectives?
In computer science I feel it is mostly about very specific skills not necessarily including outside classes.
did CU offer classes for you to meet these objectives?
Yes, CU does a very good job with teaching you what is needed for computer science.
have you pursued these objectives outside of classes (in other settings at CU; outside of CU)?
Not really, I find myself busy enough with school.
hat do you consider the most important impact of new media and human-centered computing on YOUR education?
It is growing field in computer science and is important because it will be a huge development area soon.
