    2. have you pursued these objectives outside of classes (in other settings at CU; outside of CU)?
  3. what do you consider the most important impact of new media and human-centered computing on YOUR education?
which classes did you take outside of your chosen discipline?
So far I have taken these classes:

Psycology

Intro to Cognitive Psycology

Cognitive Psycology

Creative Writing

Geology 1 & 2

Extraterrestrial Life

German

how did you select these classes? (e.g. based on interest or based on requirements for your degree program)
A combination of both.  I looked at my degree and looked to see what kind of classes I could take within the four years I have a CU.  Each of these classes I was interested in, and it just happened that I was able to put them towards my major.
how would you rate the “outside classes”? (e.g. a waste of time or an enrichment of your education)
Each of the classes I took enriched my education in some way, some more-so than others: for example my Creative Writing class was far more helpful compared to Extraterrestrial Life.  I always learn something from anything I do.  Even if I don't learn anything from the class, I watch my teachers, see the mistakes or accomplishments they make, and use those to teach myself to be a better teacher.
if you had a choice: would you take more outside classes?
I would definatly take more outside classes.  Next year I am going to Germany, which will be a fantastic learning experience that is what I would consider an outside class.
to be a well educated graduate in your respective discipline — what do you consider the most important objectives?
Well, I would consider my computer science classes to be the most important classes/objectives.  The other things will make me a more complete student, but with respect to my discipline my computer science classes are the most important.  I suppose internships may also be an important factor as well.
did CU offer classes for you to meet these objectives?
I think so.  I have not thought of a class yet that I haven't found at CU.
have you pursued these objectives outside of classes (in other settings at CU; outside of CU)?
Some of them, yes.  My fasination with creative writing is something that I persue often away from class, whether I'm reading literature or trying to write it.  Same with geology; when I go backpacking, I now use my knowledge to investigate the rocks that make up the beautiful mountains around me.
hat do you consider the most important impact of new media and human-centered computing on YOUR education?
Some day I would like to take what I've learned about New Media and HCC and apply it towards a business I create.  That is one of the reasons I took the class, to better understand how do make products that help people.  The better my products are, the better my company will be.
