Good job. Do you really think Chess problem solving is the same as general problem solving, or that there is a "general" problem solving ability? Will playing chess improve your ability to decide how to best save money? I find this an interesting question -- I really have no opinion on it (yet), but it might be worthwhile to investigate this.
