- I think that most people know Google mostly for their search engine. Google, however, seems to be expanding into many different areas that don't seem directly related to search; 3D modeling, for example, certainly doesn't seem that related. Where did the idea to acquire SketchUp come from? Was there a long-term plan for it from the start, or did you merely see potential and decide to see where it would lead? I find this interesting because I'm curious as to how good ideas identified and developed.
- 3. 3D Warehouse
- 3D Warehouse and Google Earth can provide a lot of information. Are there any ever problems with too much information being provided? For example, perhaps pictures and models of government or private buildings and complexes that people don't want to be out in the open. I find this interesting because in a world where more and more information is available, privacy and security may start to become a concern.
