DSS seemed like a very cool branch of computer science and this is the first course in the path.

All CS courses.

6.1. Describe your programming experience (languages, projects)
C++, Java, Perl, BASH and unix scripting, did lots of work on UNIX servers last year. C, some PHP, assembly


6.2. What applications are you familiar with (e.g. Photoshop, Canvas, Dreamweaver,...)?
Photoshop, a little illustrator, a little Maya, some Gimp, used dreamweaver a while ago.


7 Give a brief description of the most important book / article which you have read with respect to the topic of the course.
Can't really answer as Im unsure what exactly this course is about. All I know is it involves a next gen wiki with web 2.0 features.


8. What do you hope and expect to learn from this course?
What exactally digital and social systems is all about. How to be an active online community member.
