- 4. Why are you interested in taking this course?
- i feel that i am thinking inside the box and i need to get out of the paradigm that i am in. this will not only help me in the career path i have set out to do but will help me with life.
- 5. What courses / work activities / background knowledge do you have which might be relevant to this course?
- i have taken a technical design and communication class that will be relevant, i have worked for emc which is a microsoft distributing firm, and i have a passion for computers.

6.1. Describe your programming experience (languages, projects)
- i am literate in both c++ and Java, i have programmed in perl, i have used mathematica, powerpoint, word, excel, Maya, and i am compentant in OpenGL. i have made a animation project of someone dancing, a musuem virtual tour. made many binary search trees and red black trees. I have also made a graphics project centering a detailed biplane.
- 6.2. What applications are you familiar with (e.g. Photoshop, Canvas, Dreamweaver,...)?
- i'm familiar with photoshop but not really familiar with anything that i have not already stated

- i have a book on design by Donald Norman, called "The Design of Everyday Things"
- 8. What do you hope and expect to learn from this course?
- to open myself to new ideas and better prepare myself for my career ahead
