2. Question 1
Title:
Class Wiki 2.0

Abstract:
Wikis are a part of our everyday lives and a great way of spreading information; however, how can we better align the xwiki tools and educational practices to enhance participation and foster collaboration.

Members / Responsibilities:
Dain Cilke: My role in this assignment will be to research the dynamics of adding panels to the wiki and exploring various aesthetic and functional facelifts that could be applied to the wiki
Matt Clark: will be focusing on Word Clouds as a means to summarize / aggregate / display wiki activity around particular concepts
Scott Keller: My task is to implement a message board on the class wiki and analyze it/ modify it in order to encourage community interaction and create groups
Ian York: I am focusing on:
Methods to discover / develop groups around shared interests
Possibilities of aligning teaching practices with wiki options that cultivates digital and physical participation.
Interest in Project:
The general interest in the project for the group is the realization that a wiki may have a greater potential beyond what is currently being implemented. It is our belief that a more collaborative experience can be achieved through wiki enhancements used in conjunction with pedagogical approaches.

Progress thus far:
Basic research and division of responsibility. We've spent time investigating the xWiki documentation and optional modules to better understand potential options. We're also investigating other research done on the use of wikis in the classroom.

Plans:
Work harder and finish the project

Fit with Class Major Themes:
E-Learning
Collaboration
Mega-Creativity
