- When does reliance on these types of machines become detrimental to the people using them? It would seem that these devices can help people monitor their health and drastically improve their daily lives, however, at what point should we encourage common sense. Any extended use of the device makes it a crutch which enforces the perception of the device as a replacement rather then a support structure.
