Zaynab Anisi-Gooyabadi, 2009/01/15 10:16Hi Will, I haven't taken the digital systems course last semester and am kind of puzzled about the projects that we have to do. Could you please inform me about the topics that could be reasonable for a project. Thanks

Will Baird, 2009/01/16 12:46Below is a link to project suggestions that were provided to the class last semester. I enjoyed reading through this list, and I found many of them to be intriguing. However we decided to leverage the interests and experiences of the PhD candidate in our group to create a custom project that would be most compelling to our group. http://xwiki.cs.colorado.edu/bin/download/DSSF2008/Independent+Research+Projects/DSS%2Dprojects%2Dsuggestions.doc

Mikel King, 2009/01/21 01:27Hi Will, I was wondering if you were going to work on the same project that you worked on last semester or if you were going to find a new topic. Also I just started climbing (Bouldering actually) and was wondering how you got started sport climbing. Thanks in advance.

Will Baird, 2009/01/21 14:19Yes I am planning to continue with the project that we started last semester. Have you reviewed the document I posted a link to above your comment? Do you have any ideas at this point regarding which direction you are interested in pursuing for your project? I became interested in climbing when I started dating a climber this past September. Now I am hooked, I frequently crave climbing. Are you climbing at the Spot? I have not yet been there, but I have heard good things. I have a membership at the Boulder Rock Club. I would be happy to boulder or sport climb with you some time.

Mikel King, 2009/01/21 15:05I am hooked on climbing as well. I think I am going right after class today. I just started climbing and I have a membership to the Spot. I have never sport climbed but I would definitely be down for some climb sometime. I haven't reviewed your document above but I will start looking into project ideas in the coming weeks so I will keep you posted.
