Hi Jane. Do you think if I read Ben's Leonardo's Laptop (actually I did last year), it would be fine to follow this class? I'm not sure what you guys have learned last semester's class. Was it all about UI designs or something? Was there more beyond that?

Hi Kyuhan, Actually there wasn't much of a focus on UI designs. We really covered an overview of DSS in general, including classes dedicated to various chapters of Leonardo's Laptop, the EDC, and guest lectures from Google (focused on SketchUp, 3D Warehouse, and Google Earth), Mike Eisenberg, and Katie Siek.

Hey Jane. I've been thinking about your project idea (and I was hoping to get together in that larger group and talk about it - though I'm not sure that will ever happen). I can see a nice overlap with that and some of my research - especially the tracking of additions and the motivation for participation. I'm going to try to get to class a few minutes early (I can't stay after) - and I'd love to toss some ideas around.

I'll be at the meeting tomorrow - and we can figure out how to group up then. There may be 10 people there. Seems like everyone is suffering from the same grouping confusion. :)
