- It seems that the factor many types of persuasive technology are missing is motivation - the "cool factor" that makes people "want" to use the technology rather than "have" to use the technology. While automation, simplicity, and intuitiveness go a long way towards promoting the use of technology, coolness is an elusive element. Do you see future health-related devices incorporating the cool factor that Steve Jobs is so famous for promoting in technology?
