20: It would be awesome to have paved, off-road bike trails shown on the 
21: maps.  Right now the only way to see them is with the satellite view 
22: on the highest zoom.  If bike trails could show up on the map view in 
23: a different color then the streets, that would be a huge help!  Other

28: For Google Maps, how about a feature that maps out more than one route 
29: at a time?  On the same map.  Same starting place, different ending 
30: places.  Same starting and ending places, two routes.  Same ending 
31: place, two starting places, especially helpful for those of us who

33: I think this would be a super groovy feature.  I can't think of a 
34: reason to have more than two routes and I have no idea how difficult 
35: adding a route/destination to an existing search would be to code.

39: My suggestion is to include walking or biking directions which 
40: includes time to walk between origin and destination. With the price 
41: of gas these days, more and more people are walking and biking to 
42: work, etc. It would be very helpful to be able to set walking routes 
43: and have an idea of how long it will take.

45: I think the Google Maps integration in the iPhone is a godsend. The 
46: ability to map an address entry in your iPhone (and regular OS X) 
47: address book in one click is great! The only issue I've encountered is 
48: that Google Maps can parse addresses that include "Apt. #" or "Suite 
49: #" but cannot parse ones that specify "# Floor" (e.g. "3rd Floor").

55: Right now, I can't figure out is how to plan by bike or similar. 
56: Clicking 'by car' or whatever gives me no possibility to switch to 
57: bike. However, for my country there are a lot of roads that aren't 
58: viable with cars, but are with a bike or by foot. When I wanted to 
59: plan a trip based on some directions I got from a friend, I was unable 
60: to use the built-in planning feature. I tried to make a route from my 
61: starting point to my destination, and then drag it along to suit the 
62: trip. However, it would completely refuse to take the small roads. As 
63: an alternative, I plotted my own map and tried to follow the roads, 
64: but that is rather timeconsuming and errorprone (and nowhere near as 
65: pretty, either). 
66: Likewise, how about some simple tools to properly interact with the 
67: map? There's a scale for example, but I'd like to draw a quick line 
68: and be able to measure the distance between two points without regard 
69: to roads. Similarly, a way to disable various parts of the map would 
70: be awesome because sometimes, you just get too much information for 
71: your liking. I may not care about paths for pedestrians, or whether 
72: there's a lake besides me. Maybe I only want to see the highways, and 
73: not the urban parts. Same for names of places. Google Maps is pretty, 
74: but seeing just a little bit less can mean so much more sometimes. 
75: And now something particularly for routes.. when I plan my trips, 
76: which are pretty large and in need of printing, it tends to suffer 
77: from the above case of too-much-information. I tend to photoshop 
78: everything out except for the crossroads on my path and their names, 
79: giving me a clear idea of what streets and such I should be passing. 
80: (Some are quite tiny and easy to miss, even if you're afoot, and I'm 
81: no directional miracle myself.) If something of that stretch were 
82: possible, it would be nice too... although it might be a bit too 
83: specific for Google Maps to do.
